Do you get this error message when logging into your My BT and BT webmail?
How long has this been happening?
Also, have you tried another browser?

Cannot login to emails : either have an error message with Code=bmx_2008 or request for username and password.

Where exactly is it you're seeing this error?
Is this when logging into BT Webmail via a browser, through the BT Email App, or through a separate client?

It swops from BT logo to login in process and back to BT logo several times and then clears screen to new request for userid and password and stops. It occurs when loggin via BT Webmail via a browser. It only occurs on Chrome. Firefox is OK.

If you haven't already, can you please fully clear your cookies and cache in Chrome then restart your PC and let me know if this resolves it?
It can also be worth turning off your router for at least 30 minutes, then powering this back up again.
This will give you a new IP, and can also potentially get things going again.
