BT Basic email

Like many others I am along time customer of BT

When my contract runs out I will be leaving BT due the poor deals offered to those who are locked into a Halo +3 contract

I want to go for a more basic package which seems to be impossible as BT won’t allow customers to downgrade

But I do want to retain my BT email address so would want to go for the free basic email account 

However I have set up a number of folders and can not find out if there’s would be available in the Basic email account

Yes they will. If you only use a web browser there is no difference between any of the BT email offerings.

Just so that you know,  You are not locked into Halo 3. The BT sales teams work on a commission so they make it difficult to " downgrade" your product as that cuts their commission. If you are insistent they will offer other packages. If they don't make a complaint.

If you want to stay with BT, do your home work and check out the deals that other ISPs are offering then contact the BT Retentions Department 0800.7831.1401 and tell them that you are intending to leave because the Sales agents will not offer anything except Halo 3 which you no longer want.

Then tell them about the deals that are on offer from the other ISPs however if BT can match the deal that you have chosen that you are prepared to stay.

They may offer not offer exactly the same price but you have nothing to lose by asking.
