What we need is for a Forum Moderator to join the thread and report the problem to the BT technical team. This is what happened when there was a similar issue a year ago - but it took 2 weeks to fix it (see the beginning of the other thread)...
@AlexJenkins That's very interesting. Thank you. I'm rather relieved that others are having this problem. I won't be changing anything in case I make matters more complicated.
this is happening again new post regarding issues 12/08/2025
I re-started this thread yesterday (the 12th.) Interesting it is almost a year to the day since it was reported before ?!?!?!?! I recon this is connected!??!?! I had Microsoft Office engineer look at my PC and nothing wrong was found - I have spent hrs yesterday re-reporting the issue to BT giving them updated info from other members here and links to this site and others (Microsoft) and as per usual, they insist it is an Outlook issue. When you look at the facts, it is most definitely a pop server issue in my opinion but BT just aren't having any of it! Like a few have said, with IMAP it works ok (iphone/ipad all ok) so personally, I am re-configuring my outlook 2021 to use IMAP and sod "pop" yes it means farting about for hrs exporting and importing contacts, calenders etc etc. I've no doubt it will get sorted over time but how long I wonder. As much as it annoys me not to have more control over my .pst files, I can still use my other .pst files within outlook which store more personal data and keep the standard inbox as it is. It is possible to copy other existing folders should you wish to into your new IMAP folder structure but for me, I don't want my ipad/iphone loaded up with hundreds of emails as it will all sync to look and be the same on all devices but a lot depends on individual use etc. The IMAP .ost files are stored under your %localapp% folder but you are not able to move it as such as the option is greyed out. (may re-look at that option) Good luck everyone - just keep on at BT - will monitor this thread and hope it gets sorted soon.
I have notified the mods to give the email team a prod.
Thanks - it will be interesting to see their response!
Morning everyone.
This has been reported to the email support team. Once we have more information or need any further details, we will let you know.
Thank you.
Leanne.
Oh thats good, I hope they sort it out. Very difficult to see email trail, awful to see a list of emails I have received which I cannot read without going on the web - very difficult with missing attached files like invoices
Following my posts 59 and 66 I began a chat with a BT agent and after a couple of pages she ended up saying that as I can read mail on BT Webmail but not on Outlook, it's a Microsoft problem. However she said she'd pass it to the BT email team and I should try again in 36 - 72 hours. It's only been 20 hours so far and it's still not working, I have to remain hopeful!!
Same here: sometimes blank with no subject, sender, message body, or header data.
Sometimes a plain text dump of Vadesecure / RazorGate / DKIM auth code strings etc.
