Recent Email asking for email verification

I have received the following email a couple of times recently and wanted to know is this a genuine email from BT or its this a phising Email?

This is the final notice that we will cease processing incoming emails into your account because you failed to validate your BT account, which may result in the permanent deletion of your account from our database in the next coming days.

It is a scam. Do not click on any links or respond to it.
