Why do I have to continuedly log in for emails

I now have to log on every time I want to look at my emails on my home computer.  This is so time wasting and very frustrating.   Is there anyway I can stay logged on?

Would you stay logged in permanently to your online banking site?

I don't have to go through the log in process every five minutes or so with a banking site. Unfortunately not a useful comment

Hi.

My banking sites log me out after quite a short time if I've not been active on them/carrying out transactions, presumably for security reasons.  Are you using Webmail or an email client?

My query does not apply to banking sites.  I understand the limited time online without activity.  This is BT email having to go through the log in process everywhere I use it.  Even within a couple of minutes.  In the past I was permanently logged in on my home computer.

Hi @Roboman

There is a thread about this scenario here Timed out after short periods of inactivity that you may want to have a look through.

I have to log in twice every time I use the email.
