Are you presently a BT Broadband customer or are you paying for your email through a BT Premium email account?
If neither of the above your email account may have been downgraded to a BTMail Basic account which can not be used with an email client or email app.
Can you still access and use your email account if you use a web browser?

Hi , I have broadband and email with by, emails stopped always getting through after installing iOS 18 on iPhone. (I can send myself an email from my phone which gets through.?email fine on laptop on phone stopped working when new by layout appeared ie primary etc

Are you using the BTMail app or the Apple email app that comes with iPhone or another email app?
Does your email work correctly if you use a web browser?

yes Ive tried using using browser on my iphone and it does seem to bring up todays emails. i don't understand why my usual procedure on iphone suddenly stopped working. i've seen advice to delete app and reinstall but unsure whether to do this thank you

Sorry to repeat message - I’ve tried to now access emails through browser and this does bring up all today’s emails. The mail icon on front of phone always did this. I don’t understand why it has suddenly stopped doing this. I’ve seen advise to delete email account and then reinstall it, but am unsure whether or how to do this. I have bt broadband. Thank you for your advice on this

This is an ios problem, not bt, you need to re enter your password in the ios settings
There was an issue last weekend on ios 18 and most peoples emails were disconnected
