FTTP though, is usually marketed as "no need to pay for a landline" by quite a number of providers - with the choice being given to have a landline number or not. BT selling the service is also rather inconsistent, my friend who moved to fibre the same day I did has no DV line, I have got one, even though I made it very clear I didn't want one. When I phoned about it I was told "don't worry it's included free, if you don't want to use it don't". On the other hand my friend was told he would have to pay for a DV line, so said he didn't want one and there is no DV number on his account.
Yea just getting the message now that you sent this morning. It,s very confusing what they have up, if you don,t need a Home Land Line don,t get/pay for one????? I have paid Line Rental Saver for 11 years and never used my landline. Think they just might knock 2 or 3 quid a month????
