The phone works fine as a phone, it's the Alexa functionality that we need for my grandmother's sight impairment unfortunately.
And from what I've now tried and from what I've read, a BT hub will definitely not work on an EE phone line/ subscription unfortunately. Broadband works. And the phone connects to it, but has no service.
Thank you for your reply and that is the same as I found out. I was hoping you had found out a way of getting Alexa to work on it which is strange as they’re one company now
I have a similar problem with the Advanced Phone Z since I switched broadband from BT to EE. Incoming calls all seem to be OK but whereas outgoing were initially fine, after a couple of months I was unable to make outgoing calls - I get the engaged tone every time but am able to make the call on my mobile. I was able to fix it once by removing the batteries for an hour or so but the problem is back. Strangely outgoing calls are fine if I use one of the Essential Digital Home Phones that BT supplied when I had previously gone to VOIP.
Any advice would be appreciated.
