Hi, I find the ringer volume on my BT 4000 cordless phone too loud despite the lowest volume selected.
Went into Settings-Sounds-Ringer-Ringer volume and selected the lowest setting, 1 bar. Yet I find that too loud. The phone sits in its base on the sideboard next to my armchair but when it rings, it makes me jump! Any advice please?

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
Its more likely its the base volume that is the one that is too loud. That is normally a totally different option than the phone ringer volume.

Re: BT 4000 Ringer Volume.
Thanks. I've turned the volume down on the base, in Settings, to 1 bar.
But some of the ringtones were still quite loud at the lowest setting, so I've chosen the quietest ringtone which is better for me now.
