BT 4600 additional Handset

One of my BT 4600  additional Hand sets display is permanently Illuminated . The other is not. Is there a setting to turn the illumination off, as I cant find anything in the settings. Strange that only one handset display is lit up?

Have you tried removing the batteries for a short while?

Yes took them out for bout a minute

Try a factory reset of the handset.

Does it do it both on & off the cradle?

Sounds like a fault then. Long shot but maybe leave the batteries out overnight & try in the morning. But I'd expect a factory rest to clear any such oddities. Nothing to lose though.
