Seems to be poor quality rechargeable batteries. Has the problem with batteries happened on all your phones or just this one?
My issue remains unresolved. I have been using my old phone line and not the B.T. phone line. I have 2 B.T. handsets. One has useless battery life and the other keeps re-booting or just turning off, so I do not know what the battery life is like on both. At some point my old phone line will be no more and I will have to get this issue resolved. From what I have read, however, I can plug my old phone into the B.T. router. I don't care about the Alexa thing, so that's not an issue.
Many thanks.
Yes you can use your existing analogue phone by just connecting it to the socket on back of SH2 once moved to digital voice
Thanks for confirming that I can plug in my old phone into the B.T. router. I think I will buy a new phone identical to my current old phone for when it finally goes to telephone heaven.
You can also ask BT for a free DV adapter which connects to a mains power socket and connect using DECT to you hub and will give you anothe point in your home where you can connect your existing phone if back of hub not convenient
Thanks. I had no idea such a thing existed.
Just replace the batteries. You can buy a dozen Amazon Basic for under a tenner.
I have looked at the phone and can see no compartment to open to get to the battery. However, I have now given up using the supplied phones as the battery life is simply not good enough. Sorry for the late reply, but I have been unwell.
Thanks,
CDA.
