BT DV and EE Smart Hub Pro

Go to solution

Searched all over the forum/internet and cant seem to find the exact answer to my question

I have FTTP with a BT SH2.

Services i have are BTTV now EETV and also Digital Voice, the question is if a swap out the BT SH2 for the EE Smart Hub Pro will Digital Voice configure on the EE Smart Hub pro and still work even though I am on BT FTTP?

From what i can see there shouldnt be an issue with EETV/BTTV but its unclear to me if BT DV will also work, it would appear i can pair the BT DV handsets to the EE Smart Hub Pro.

Thanks in advance

BT EE and Plusnet all work perfectly off each other's router. DV no exception

Just an update.

The Smart Hub Pro and Smart Wifi Pro extender work like a dream, DV, BTTV all fine.  Wifi now hitting max speeds of 1Gbps pretty much everywhere in the house and even seeing 500Mbps + in the garden, all for £55 off eBay.  I reckon a lot of the sellers on eBay are in for a nasty shock if they cancel EE and EE want the kit back!!!  The Smart Wifi Pro seems far better in terms of range than the BT discs I had as in the garden i was getting around 200-300Mbps max (discs and new wifi pro both using ethernet backhaul)

EE do demand the kit back, all isp's do.

The router's come from other sources as must punters know there's a charge if they don't return the equipment.

Even BT charge £140 for the non return of the pre historic SH2.

Wrong again. It is nothing like £140. It is £65 for not returning the Smarthub 2.

An update:

I was having IPC6023 errors on BTTV, not on a daily basis and all i needed to do was change channel or if it was happening a lot an ONT power cycle seemed to clear it for a while.  However i was seeing it on almost a daily basis and 'seemed' worse if for example my xbox was downloading a big update.  This never happened when i was running the BT SH2, so i reconnect the SH2 and bingo no more IPC6023 errors for the last few days when i would have expected them when i was using the EE Smart Hub Pro, weird.

I may leave it a week and then reconnect the EE smart Hub Pro again see if it was just coincidence.
