BT land line phone model BT3960 purchased new. Now changed to digital, but the speech when talking button does not work.
Broadband etc works well.
My previous Panasonic handsets worked well when i was on analogue
Does the phone function in all other respects?
When I answer my BT phone, I press the green answer button and then have to press it again to get the loudspeaker and then adjust the volume accordingly. I assume your phone works in a similar way? However with my model I have changed a setting such that the phone answers as it is removed from the base station and then I only have to press the green answer button once to enable the loudspeaker.
Thank you so much for your idea,, I will wait for someone to ring my landline and press green twice, and the the loudness button.
I assume pressing the green twice will not affect the caller.
If that works I will ask you please to advise how I can adjuist the settings. I have bouught any make but can take it back if the BT 3960 model I have works as it should.
You press the green button once to answer the call and then press it once again to turn on loud speaker. From looking at a diagram of your model there is a black rocker button between the green and red buttons. Pressing this up or down should increase /decrease the volume. This also works on my phone even if the loudspeaker isn't turned on.
Hope this helps.
