No refunds, as it's part of the landline package. Nor sure what value BT would attribute to it and give a reduction on package cost
Hi Thomas good to see another new name to our on-going 6 month saga! I'd asked your question about a refund previously but as it was pointed out to me, Call Protect is a free service.
Has anyone on here been unable to access Call Protect via the app? Been down for several days. Tried reinstalling to no avail. You can still access it via website.
Yes, got the same problem. Have also tried a reinstall, clear data, clear cache and still the same problem. Doesn't look like the app has been updated in the last few days, so assume it's an issue back at the BT server, etc
Call protect in app is still not working! Does anyone on here know what's going on? What's happened to Leanne as well?!
I filed a report via Chat on BT.com on Friday, the solution that day was to delete the app for 24hrs and try again. No better, as expected.
Email from BT tonight to say they'll close the case, so back on Chat to get it logged again, with the original fault ref. This time they said it would be raised as a fault with IT .
Don't hold much hope
Ok thanks Pete! This whole thing just gets worse!
Not a whisper from BT . It's still failing
Hi All,
Apologies for absence but I recently changed my package for phone, broadband and TV which had been through BT but which is now through EE.
As part of this, the phone part became Digital Voice and I wondered if anything would change with the Call Protect issue. At the moment I still can't see the phone element of the package at all via My EE including, of course, Call Protect, so I can only block calls using 1572 on the phone.
One difference I have noticed since being on Digital Voice is that my phone shows 'Nuisance?' on the display when some numbers have called me so BT have identified some spammers but that's no help if you can't block them!
I wonder what is going to happen when I hit 100 on my blocklist as I don't think you can remove older blocked numbers via 1572.
Interestingly, I found a post on the EE Forum from a chap having the identical issue back in August. Here is the link.https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Digital-Home-Phone/Call-protect/td-p/1420014
Sadly, it looks like neither BT or EE have any solution to this.
