I've been locating it there for several weeks, and I didn't have any sense of its being hidden. I think I may have been slightly conscious of changes in the process of getting to it, but it seemed clear enough to me how to get there; and all my calls are now showing up on my list of calls received. Originally, I was complaining that some calls were not showing up on the Call Protect list of received calls. I access the site via an old-fashioned desk computer, not via any another device--perhaps (I am ignorant of these things) the site is better geared to users on a desk computer.
Brilliant.
Does this work for those on EE?
Perhaps if the moderator is 'listening' they could get this corrected on the website. Looks an easy fix ( that should never have happened if the web people did testing properly)
I use both a desktop pc and a tablet, depending on what I need to do. I've always gone in via my products to call protect.
Missing calls in the list didn't depend on what devices I used. Can't see the list being any different going in via the security tab. It would be crazy that but maintained two lists depending on which tab you used.
Hi Pete,
The web access to Call Protect kindly provided by MichaelB via My BT doesn't work for those of us on EE as you'd perhaps expect but the web access to Call Protect via My EE doesn't work either.
You go to Manage - Plans & Subscriptions - Digital Home Phone - Manage Home Phone - then you get 'This service isn't working right now' and it's said that for months. I really wish they'd sort that out.
It does work via the My EE app so at least I can access and manage Call Protect that way.
Still not working! Had a call from a friend. From her landline to mine. Nothing showing on call protect calls received. So still at square one.
Please ignore my last message. The call did appear.
On a more positive note, given that the main reason for this thread on the Forum was numbers being missed by Call Protect, I should add that, as of the last couple of months since the move to EE and starting Digital Voice, all the incoming numbers have appeared on Call Protect. I hope I haven't now jinxed it...! Also, a lot of the numbers are appearing on my caller display as 'Nuisance?' which helps decide if the call is worth answering.
Yes, been good on BT as well. I think it was early October or late September the last missed number on call protect.
We will keep watching ! Let's not tempt fate.
Using BT Web Site (My BT) -
BT have fixed the dead link issue accessing Call Protect from
Products/Call Protect
which, by clicking it now, will route you to Call Protect under
My Securities/Call Protect
From me, at the moment, CP seems to list ALL calls received. However, I don't get many landline calls now (abt 2 a month) so like most people I know, always use the mobile with unlimited calls package. And, being an iPhone, I have the setting "Silence unknown calls" always on.
Cheers,
Michael
