Are the DCET phones too or only compatible with the BT EE smart hubs? Looking to switch to maybe Sky and wondered if the handsets would work on their telephone network

Not going to happen mate.
The only ISP I know of that provides a DECT enabled router is Zen with Fritzbox 7530. AFAIK, all others such as Sky & Vodafone only provide an analogue ATA, same as the green socket on the SH2.
Even on the Fritzbox, it would only function as a basic GAP handset, so no contacts or other features.
