Can the DV handsets BT gave out free be used with any other phone network

Are the DCET phones too or only compatible with the BT EE smart hubs? Looking to switch to maybe Sky and wondered if the handsets would work on their telephone network

The only ISP I know of that provides a DECT enabled router is Zen with Fritzbox 7530. AFAIK, all others such as Sky & Vodafone only provide an analogue  ATA, same as the green socket on the SH2.

Even on the Fritzbox, it would only function as a basic GAP handset, so no contacts or other features.

Thanks, my mums being forced to changeover to DV soon so at least can give them to her if I switch networks

Well, it did happen when the DV roll out began, which I suspect is why the question said 'gave' rather than 'give'.

Yes they gave a couple free , guess to encourage people to switch, now they just give adapters
