Does anyone know if it is possible to perform 'Chain Dialing' on a BT Essential Digital phone? For example when phoning a bank a method of entering phone selection options and bank account details stored in an entry in the phone book. So to avoid entering these details manually using the keyboard each time.
I would consider that a security risk, I am sure the banks would not be happy with that.
Not sure why it's a security risk, those details are on every cheque you write.
I have not written a cheque for at least 15 years. I suppose its the same info that is on a card.
I was thinking more of a unique customer number that may have to be entered, which would only be known by the account holder. Someone other than the account holder may have access to the phone.
Its a very long time since I used phone banking, its usually online, on the phone to a real bank call centre person who asks for other extra security info, or I visit the branch myself.
