Re: Connection problem digital voice

A microfilter has an RJ11 outlet, which is normally used for connecting a broadband router, but should also allow you to plug in a phone, as its simply wired through.

What happened to the adapter that was supplied with the phone?

Are you sure that BT Digital Voice has been activated, otherwise nothing would work?

We really need the whole story.

  • Are you already on DV & had another phone working?
  • Are you in the process of moving to DV for the first time?
  • What is the "other adapter" you refer to?

Which is what you need.

Are you sure you are looking at the correct socket on the back of the Smart Hub 2, as it may be hidden under a label? Its the green one marked phone port, and is a standard phone socket.

I have no idea what/who your previous replies is in response to. That's not your fault but the awful software this forum runs on. Are you saying that you had another phone working connected to the Hub?

If not & an adapter doesn't work then 99.9% it's a DV issue, regardless of BT may have told you. Follow @imjolly's advice.

Re: Connection problem digital voice

I did find when I was switched that it didn’t work until I rebooted the hub…despite it telling me it was working before.
