My current phone number will soon change to digital voice . However, in September I’m moving to a new build house in a road just around the corner which to my knowledge isn’t moving to digital voice (is it the road or the number that determines whether and when it moves to digital voice ?)
Will it be a problem moving my current phone number to the new house in September if it’s already moved to digital voice?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Most new builds are now fibre, so your phone will still be Digital Voice, and the number will be the same.
Even if its only FTTC, it will still be Digital Voice.
Thanks. It is a new build in an old road among old houses. Not a new estate. Hope this doesn’t change your advice. Thanks
Has the developer applied for service at the new build? Sounds like it's not a development of multiple houses so it may not be FTTP.
Openreach are automatically providing FTTP on developments over about 10 dwellings but not an individual house.
