Digital Voice Changeover

Go to solution

My neighbour has had a letter from BT advising her that her landline is being changed over to Digital Voice.  I haven't received one.  We live in a pair of semi detached houses in the corner of a field.  I am in number 1 and she is in number 2!  Is it usual for just one home out of two to be changed over?  My mobile signal is not great and I use my landline all the time!  I don't want to wake up one day to find I have no landline service!  Any ideas what I should do?

Are you both BT customers ? , obviously if you are not a BT customer you won’t be getting migrated to BTDV , even if you are a BT customer, the fact you are neighbours with someone who has been notified is irrelevant, migration isn’t based on postal addresses , but when you are in scope (assuming you are a BT customer ) you will be advised in advance.

Its highly unlikely that you are in scope , a migration scheduled but the notification hasn’t been sent , there is nothing stopping you however contacting BT ( again only if BT are your provider) and asking when your migration will be ….the date  for all migrations to be done is by the end of Jan 2027 so plenty of time remaining before then.

Thanks so much for your reply to my post. Yes, we are both with BT for our landline and broadband. She has a BT hub which is suitable for digital voice whereas I don't. We both assumed they would be changing us both over at the same time!  Thanks for clearing that up and for giving me some peace of mind!  I will think about my options now.
