Digital Voice

I recently changed my ordinary landline to BT Digital Voice.

I have checked my contract, it was due to expire about now.

Does my changing over to digital voice start a new 12 month contract - If so then I consider it a diabolical misuse by tricking someone into unwittingly extending their contract (Not many people actually read all of the terms and conditions) . It appears that I had no choice if I wanted to retain my landline.

Re: Digital Voice

if you received an email saying that you were now being changed over to DV then should not extend contract but if you phoned and opted to change to DV then that could start a new contract

Re: Digital Voice

I was moved to DV in September.  I've been out of the initial contract period for a long while, as I'm thinking of moving house, (which Covid originally torpedoed).

My contract did not renew.  I've just checked on MyBT and it still says I'm out of contract.
