Digital Voice

I live in an area with a very poor / non-existent mobile signal (EE). I'm told if there is a power cut there will be no phone connectivity with digital Voice. What am I supposed to do?

Re: Digital Voice

BT may supply a battery backup unit (BBU) if you ask them.

Even if they do not, you can get something similar from Amazon.  Look for a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply).  Basically, a battery that you plug into the mains and the Smart Hub, (& ONT, if you have one), then plugs into that.

Re: Digital Voice

If you speak to BT's customer services and explain about the poor mobile signal they will go over some alternative solutions to allow you to make calls in a powercut.
