My Digital voice works fine with supplied handset it does not work with my Synergy 5500 set up which is connected via the Digital voice adapter

Can you make calls on that phone, but it does not ring on an incoming call?
If you cannot make calls, then make sure its set to tone dialling and not pulse dialling.
does the 5500 work if connected to the phone socket on back of hub?
have you checked the DV adapter has connected to the hub. if you can make calls using adapter but phone does not ring then try using the old filter you used for broadband and see if that helps it ring
If another non DV phone works when connected it suggests there is a problem with the 5500 especially if does not work when connected direct to socket on back of hub
