I intend to move over to BT Digital Voice. I understand that BT will send me a Smart Hub 2 modem and a digital handset. I intend to put my Smart Hub 2 modem into bridge mode and use my draytek router so that my home office network devices will get their IP addresses from my draytek router. Does anyone know whether BT digital Voice still works with the Smart Hub 2 modem in bridge mode? Perhaps it can still assign an IP address to a BT digital handset even if not to other network devices.
The BT Smarthub 2 does not have a Bridge Mode.
You must use the Smarthub 2 as the first device and your own router connected to it.
There are numerous posts about how to do that which you will find if you use the forum's search facility.
From other post you will get SH2 as that is required for DV but I think BT no longer provide free DV phones but will provide DV adapter so you can use your existing phone
Many thanks for the helpful reply
