Hello. We recently moved to Digital Voice. All went well, we bought an EE/BT Home Phone Plus, which works well. We connected old DECT phones via EE/BT Home Phone Adapter, and they worked, but as they are nearing end of life, decided to change these for two additional Home Phone Plus. Our house has thick walls, and the signal from the Smart Hub 2 does not reach the other phone locations. I called BT help, and was told that the Home Phone Plus could connect wirelessly to the Home Phone Adapter, so I could put the Home Phone Adapter in the other room, and the Home Phone Plus would connect to it, rather than the Smart Hub 2. Bought 2 new Home Phone Plus, and an additional adapter. They do not work.
So the question is, does the Home Phone Adapter only work with wired DECT phones, or is there a procedure for registering the Home Phone Plus with the Home Phone Adapter?
Solved! Go to Solution.
the DV adapter connects/pairs to the SH2 using DECT and you then connect to adapter using phone cable not DECT
Thank you, that is what I had concluded. So the initial advice from BT was incorrect, and I cannot connect my shiny 2 new Home Phone Plus handsets. I guess they go back to EE Store.
Do you know how to deregister the handsets from the SH2? The advice I have found online relates to removing wifi devices (log into 192.168.1.254 and then manage devices). But the handsets connect via DECT, and so cannot be managed from wifi connection manager?
You should be able to go the SH2 hub manager 192.168.1.254 into browser and once in hub manager you should be able to access DV and remove the phones
Surely you deregister the handsets from the handsets not the hub.

You're only option to use the new handsets is to relocate the SH2 in a more central location.
Thanks rbz5416. I'd just worked this out, and was about to confess. Many thanks for your help.
