Just a follow up, but would this phone do the job? It claims to do the multi call function, I just wonder though, does it still work even when it's unplugged, as I can't see the logic with that?
Yes, but not sure what you mean by does it work when unplugged
DV handsets connect directly to the built in DECT base station in the hub.
The handset can be used to disable multi call functionality and create the diversion, once that is done the handset is superfluous and is no longer required.
It is not certain that it will cure your problem but is a possibility it will.

Thanks for your extended help on this. It does sound like the handset needs to be continuously connected to a working BT Router. Unfortunately that won't work because I use a non-BT Router in my home setup, I only connected the BT Router to re-setup the Call Divert.
Looks like I need to change suppliers, never mind! Really have appreciated your help, all of you.
No, it doesn't. As I said, you just need the handset connected in order to make the configuration. Once configured the hub and handset are not required hence the suggestion to borrow a handset temporarily.
I was under the impression that call diversion for DV could be set up from MyBT?
@Anonymous
trying to turn off multi call with phone if you read the other posts not divert

I am sorry @licquorice , I misinterpreted what you said. That's perfect, thank you, I'll get the handset and sell it afterwards. Your help has been really appreciated, thank you. 👍
Hi all,
Just wish to inform you, the problem sadly persists. As there's no notification that there's a problem, I am ringing 'myself' every day to check. Sometimes it's OK for 2 weeks before failing. What is strange is that when I plug the router and re-connect the phone, it claims that the divert is active and working, when it isn't.
