International Calls Cutting Out

Hi,

  I frequently call a friend in america from my BT landline. recently these calls have been cutting off a lot meaning that i have to ring back. sometimes a call can go on for 15 minutes without any trouble, sometimes i have to ring back every minute or two until it settles down a bit. neither me nor my friend are having this problem with national calls. does anyone have any suggestions as to how this problem might be solved

Have you noticed if this is only happening when you are calling to them, or are there times when they call you and the same thing happens?

thank u for yr response. it only happens when i call them as far as i know, but that's because i'm the one with an international calls plan, if she were to make the calls it would cost her a fortune so there's not really a way of knowing

Is the landline through Digital Voice or an analogue (PSTN)?

Can you try to unplug the landline from the router and also restart the router @i_need_spaces, and see if the same thing happens next time you call the number.

If it does, I'd recommend getting in touch with our tech guides, so they can look into this further for you.
