Landline Number transfer from Plusnet

Had new full fibre installed on Friday.

But my old telephone number has not been ported over (requested at the time of placing the BT order)

Should this not happen instantly?  how long is it going to take ?

Thanks,

Alan

Re: Landline Number transfer from Plusnet

Plusnet

but Bt confirmed they could move the number over.
Is it normal to happen after the installation date?

Re: Landline Number transfer from Plusnet

If Plusnet own the number, it should be possible to port it over, the only issue I can see is that the Plusnet  number may have been on their own equipment and there may be some issues porting it.

Its not unusual to be given a temporary new number, and then have it changed once the porting is complete. As its been suggested, the FTTP team would be your best option.
