Yes I have a new Hub Router which is correctly connected. I have kept my BT Broadband. The landline cable is correctly connected.

I would assume someone has already mentioned this, but when Digital Voice is first turned on, they send you a message via the 1571 voicemail service.  The “noise” might be the message waiting tone?
