Lost Landline Number

Hi

Is it possible to transfer a landline number after changing from BT to Vodafone home broadband and landline after its been connected? The landline number has been in use for over 30 years and since changing to Vodafone the landline number wasn't transferred, neither BT or Vodafone seem to have a fix on how to retrieve this number but i've seen in this community there has been a select few people who have been lucky enough to get the number back. If someone could please look into this matter for me and try to retrieve the old landline number. Thank you

Unfortunately, as you are a Vodaphone customer this forum cannot help.

Its the responsibility of the gaining provider to make sure your number is ported. Once the line is working, the number would be lost, and returned back to BT.

Sometimes returning back to BT would enable the number to be recovered, provided its within 28 days, however its never guaranteed.

My elderly mother (84) has lost her number not by choice when moving from Vodafone to Sky.

I have been around Sky, Vodafone, BT, Openreach, all multiple times and nobody seems to be able to resolve, just point me to somewhere else.

Happy to move back to BT or wherever at whatever cost to get this back for her

How long since number was lost?  More than 28 days?

Service changed 16th September, broadband ok.Phone line only started working last friday 4th October with a different number assigned
