Re: Lost landline

With regards to the checker.

only thing unavailable is WBC FTTC

FTTP is available and new ONT may be ordered

FTTP has priority over other products

WLR is available

SOADSL is restricted

Re: Lost landline

In regards to checking to see if the number is available. If I ring customer service would they be able to tell me if they can do it before I place the order?

Re: Lost landline

Try them and see.

As I see it, you have to decide if you wish to stay with Virgin and 100% lose the number or switch back to BT with a slim chance you might be able to retrieve it. Depends on your reasoning in switching in the first place and how important that choice was compared with losing the number.

@Simmons0001

If FTTP is the only option available, its likely to take some time before this could be installed, provided there is a suitable entry point for the new fibre connection. You could be without broadband for some time, especially if you have to cancel Virgin within the cooling off period.

As for keeping the number, you could always ask.

Re: Lost landline

Hi @Simmons0001, if it's going to be Digital Voice they'll be able to tell you about the number during the order journey. If they can't allocate it then it's likely the number won't be able to be retrieved.

Thanks

John
