No BT landline No Service

Hello Everyone, I  have been with out a BT landline since 11th March  23, When I  noticed a message in my phone “Check Your Line Cord” Only to find there was no dialling tone. I have made many phone calls, to BT, only to be inform it’s a incident with a bt pole and underground wires, due to a road traffic accident RM7 area, where I live. I have spoken to a few neighbours, who have BT but although they did loose there lines, they have now returned. We had men working on our outside BT line pole installing new box’s with under ground cables, this is due to new digital phones, but they say it’s nothing to do with that. . Managers set  to ring us and never does, we are told will get refund compensation, but that not the point, this is a shocking. Seems it all dealt with by Open Reach who deal with all phone suppliers now. We are due to pay a new bill soon, but our Broadband is working so will have to pay for that even though we have no landline. Anyone had this type of problems with BT .?

@catalog21

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

What date have BT given you to repair the fault, as it does seem rather a long time?

What date did you report the fault to BT?

Use this link for an update.

Re: No BT landline No Service

Have you tried an alternative corded phone to eliminate your own equipment as the issue ?, has you line been migrated to DV , in which case it wouldn’t plug into the master socket but the router , if your broadband is working , is it working at the usual speed ?, there must be at least on leg of the copper pair connected , broadband will work with 1 leg disconnected but usually at a much reduced speed , post your router statistics.
