Hello
Re. Advanced home phone
Can anyone help please?
How do I extend the number of times the phone rings before going to answer phone?
Thank you
Rob
Owing to BT's inexplicable logic behind applying the same "Advanced" name to multiple products, you'll have to be explicit about exactly what you have. If DV phones then I believe you can modify the number of rings in MyBT > Your Products > DV.
You should be able to increase number of rings by going to MYBT as suggested by @rbz5416
Hi, @Rob42233 If you're using the answering machine on the advanced phones page 37 on the user guide explains how you can change the number of rings. If you're using 1571 voicemail it can be changed in MyBT.
Thanks
Neil
P.37 of the manual.
If you have been migrated to DV then BT's own 1571 voicemail is active by default. So you'll need to decide which one you want to take messages. If you decide on the DECT unit then you have to set 1571 to maximum rings & the DECT to something less than that.
Edit: @NeilO wins by a nose! 😁
I've switched off the answer machine.
The number of rings was already set to max.
But still only ringing 4x.
It's a phone we bought for my mum (90) as she was having a lot of nuisance calls, and it's worked a treat.
But no matter what I try I cannot get it to ring more than 4x.
Thanks
Rob
Hi @Rob42233 if you've switched off the answering machine on the advanced phone, is 1571 active on the line?
Thanks
Neil
