Hi,
Apologies for having to post in enemy territory but please be gentle with me!
My elderly parents are long standing Virgin Media customers & had their landline cut off on 28th March due to the copper to fibre transfer (they did not receive notification in writing but that's another issue). They have since had the fibre line installed by Virgin but no longer have their original phone number of over 40 years. Virgin have said that as the number was originally assigned from BT & over 2 weeks have now passed since the disconnection they are unable to port the number across & it's now back with BT.
Is there anyway of looking at this from BT's end please?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Scott

parents would need to be BT customers but many posts on forum about similar and after 28 days disconnected then number is not retrievable
