I have an 8746 phone as an emergency backup to my cordless phones. It also looks good in two tone green. It is nowhere near my broadband router. Can I still use it somehow?

Solved! Go to Solution.
just phone CS 03301234150 and ask for free DV adapter. you the put that in power socket in home and it will pair with the SH2 and you can plug your phone cable into the adapter
It's a relay to the router then?
My cordless phone base is nowhere near the router either.
Can I use more than one of these DV adapters?
Alan
The DV adapter is simply a portable phone socket that connects back to the built in DECT base station in the hub.

you can connect a phone to the SH2 green socket on back and connect your cordless base unit to the DV adapter you normally only get 1 free adapter and you would need to purchase a second if needed
Ok, thanks to everyone. All a bit clearer now. Two DV adapters required.

If it’s a rotary dial phone , it won’t work with or without a DV adapter
To be pedantic, it would be possible to receive calls but not make them.
