Phone line with external bell, bell tinks instead of ringing

We have this master and only socket.

The other end of the blue/white and white/blue wires is the incoming line.

The other end of the orange/white and white/orange wires go to the external bell

Looking at the wires on the master socket two wires are connected to 5.

Is it correct to have two wires on 5? I was wandering if one the orange wire should come off 5 and be connected to 4?

Extention bells are connected across terminals 3 and 5. Terminal 4 is used for an earth connection used in older business phone systems

No, that is wired correctly for an external bell. Its possibly a mechanical fault on the bell.
