Porting phone number

Go to solution

Help please, I have just transferred to Virgin Media and requested to take my old phone number 2 days before the number was disconnected.  they now say this is not possible due to disconnection.  I was with plus-net a bt subsidiary and they inform me it is still possible for up to 14 days after disconnection and to contact BT who is the range holder.  This is vital to keep the old number for my disabled husband. How do I do this please before it is too late?

@Denise3

This is a BT Retail Customer forum.

As you are a Virgin Media customer, they need to sort it out with Plusnet.

This BT Retail forum has nothing to do with Plusnet who have their own forum and their own phone number ranges.

You could try posting there, as one of their moderators may be able to advise.

@Denise3

Its the responsibility of Virgin Media to sort this out, as they are the gaining provider. BT Retail cannot help as you are not their customer, and never have been.

Unfortunately, it is Virgin's problem fair and square, you need to escalate with them. Nobody here can help.
