Re: Appalling Bullying Behaviour

As some one who had been following this thread I would agree that a moderator becomes involved .....and locks the thread.

The thread is  going nowhere as it has already reached to top of the complaints procedure within BT.

The OP should now do as suggested and contact either the ADR or the Ombudsman because the complaint is going no further by posting here.

Re: Appalling Bullying Behaviour

in my old age, I had not realised that I could (and should) report to the moderator - I have now done so - but I make this statement - I now feel doubly bullied, not just by BT, but by the he/she/they/it who has been posting as @iniltous - I am shocked that a platform where I hoped I could get help, ended in, in my opinion, bullying me - this is up to all of you - whether posters, moderators or others - but I thank all those who have supported me; meanwhile I do not thank those who have tried, and succeeded in belittle me - in advance I apologise for spelling in these posts which have all but destroyed me - others should be aware. I am appalled by my experience on this platform - bullying clearly rules OK - as the saying goes "gentle persusaion is OK, but nastiness gets better results" - thank you to those who have been supportive - I wish no ill to those who are not supportive and merely hope that they, through their critisism and lack of support (no it is no use stating ADR without explaining what it means) never find themselves in the position in which I find myself. I am truly wondering where my purpose is in this universe - but probably some will welcome this. Immense harm has been done - but thank you to those who have been supportive,

Re: Appalling Bullying Behaviour

@45SM  Unfortunately your own experience here on the forum is very much par for the course across many forums. As someone who takes an active part in many different forums, it’s just part of everyday life on the internet.

Everyone has their own way of expressing their subject knowledge and opinions no matter how insensitive they may come across. I by my own admission am very blunt, I don’t suffer fools gladly and I’m personally not at all popular here because I often stick the proverbial two fingers up at those on the forum who perhaps to me come across as projecting that they know everything but who probably know very little about much at all. You need a skin like a crocodile on a public forum.

I wish you well and I’m sorry you feel as though you’ve had a poor experience on the forum.

Re: Appalling Bullying Behaviour

Thank you for taking the time to update this thread, @45SM

It's disappointing to hear that your experience when querying this issue hasn't been what you expected.

As others have mentioned, this is a public discussion forum, and as part of that it is reasonably expected that users won't always agree on topics.

Everyone who comes here has a different background and level of knowledge though, and our aim is always to ensure these discussions remain civil, friendly and supportive - if you're unhappy with a reply in the future, there's always the option to report this to a moderator, too.

When it comes to the ADR process, this is definitely highlighted in our complaints code of practice, which was shared earlier in this thread by @Christopher_G.

As the others have mentioned, this means that the complaint has reached the highest level of our complaints process, and if you remain unhappy with the outcome the next step would be to take this to the Communications Ombudsman for an independent review.

We can't comment on this outcome any further, and I do feel this discussion has reached a natural end point so I'm going to lock this thread to new replies.

If you have any further queries around the case, these are best referred directly to the Ombudsman as part of their review process.
