So just to be clear, you took exception to a post you (allegedly) saw on another thread, but rather than respond to that post on that thread, you thought you'd raise your accusation on a completely different thread? Then when asked to corroborate your accusation, which you can't, you then place the onus on @licquorice to provide you with a link to something he denies exists?
Probably time to stop digging...
It is you making the allegation not @licquorice so I would say it is up to you to find it.
You are not very accurate with the assertion that he said he was "unable to track it down", What @licquorice did say was "I have absolutely no idea which of the countless posts I have made you are referring to that you have misread." and he followed that up in another post with "I don't have a crystal ball or second sight, how on earth am I expected to know which post you object to" which infers to me he hasn't even bothered to try and track it down because you have not supplied enough information to point to the thread it may be on.
Given your lack of accuracy with that perhaps you are not accurate with what you previously attributed to @licquorice
@licquorice thanks for the info. Let me clarify my stance before this becomes even more circular and pointless. In my non technical world a landline in my understanding of the word, applied to the simple connection between a plug in analogue phone and the exchange. Because all landlines are now considered to warrant the same name, i understood the comment that the landline wouldn’t work during a power cut, to apply to my understanding of what a land line was.
If you find that difficult to understand then there’s not much more i can do to clarify my comment.
@wkirkman how many times do i have to explain? I accept that there is a difference between the current view of what constitutes a landline. That was news to me as i am not a technical buff. If you read my comments you will see that i have accepted the distinction and understand the different types of connections under the name landline. I trust that that puts this thread to bed?
