BT cancelled my account in error and now I cannot have my original number reinstated.
After 6 weeks and numerous calls I have been to!d that it is not possible to have my number back even though it is still availab!e. BT set up a new account, broadband returned but we realised that our phone number was not recognised, "Number you have called not recognised". Apparently due to the digital upgrade we have to have a new telephone number.
Very unhappy, inconvenient as medical services have original number. This was BT's error, we did not cancel our account and just wanted BT to fix this and reinstate our services. BT have given a discount but we just want our original number. I
Cannot believe that this has happened. Have always been with BT but now thinking of switching supplier..
Has this happened to anyone else?
