porting contacts

Go to solution

Hi. I am about to go BT/EE broadband and DV and some of the complaints in the last 48 hours are scaring me.

I have a BT Cordless quad setup and understand that I plug a digital adapter into my base station, then the remotes will work as before without the need for extra adaptors (please correct me if I have been misinformed) I have read that the BT hub2 will store   my contacts. Question 1: Will my remote handsets lose their memories including contacts, always ring, and blocked numbers? Question 2: Will call guardian built into my phones still work? Question 3: Can I save my contacts to my PC/Laptop/Iphone as backup in case hub resets and loses memory.

Thank you

If you intend to continue to use your existing handsets and base station nothing is changed everything works as before. The base station is simply plugged into the phone socket at the rear of the hub or a digital adapter if the hub isn't in a convenient location rather than the master socket.

Contacts are only stored on the hub if using Digital Voice handsets.
