Additional ethernet device in another room

Hello

I have the BT Fibre 2 Service and the hub has 3 ethernet ports and a WAN port.  The entry point is the living room.

My computer is in another room and the additional BT wifi disk is connected by ethernet cable to it.

But I have another device now that will need to have an ethernet cable connection.  Would another WIFI disk do the job or is there anything else I can try?  The disks would be sat next to each other which probably isn't a good idea.

thank you

Re: Additional ethernet device in another room

You can connect an Ethernet switch to the Ethernet port on the existing disk. You can then connect your existing, and any additional Ethernet devices.

TP-Link LS1005G 5-Port Desktop/Wallmount Gigabit Ethernet Switch/Hub, Network Splitter, Plug and play, Plastic Case

About £9.50 on Amazon.

That would give you three extra ports.
