Are you able to use a different router for full fibre?

Hello,

I'm looking at buying a different router/wifi extenders for our broadband as the smart hub 2/complete wifi disks just don't seem to do that much. I'm currently looking at Amazon's Eero 6+.

Am I able to use a different router with the full fibre broadband? Have tried to find answers on this but nothing coming up.

thanks!

Of course you can, just as long as you don't want a phone service. Digital Voice requires the  use of the BT hub.

Just make sure whatever router you choose supports PPPoE

Hmm, looks like the Eero 6+ is one of the very few routers that doesn't support PPPoE.

It does support PPPoE. I’ve used the Eero 6+ on my FTTP connection in the past.

When Eero was first released it didn’t support PPPoE but this was added later.
