Micro-interruptions of service

Hello,

I've got BT FTTH, and I'm regularly getting very short interruptions of service even on devices that are on wired connections.

It's only a few seconds at most, but for instance when I'm playing games online it's enough to get kicked out of the session.

As it might look like an intentional disconnect, I could get banned for this if it happens often enough, which would be annoying especially as it's not my fault.

I don't use the BT Home Hub, as I have the ONT connected directly to my own router (Unifi Dream Machine).

It often reports high latency and/or packet loss events from this connection.

I've had this router for years and it was never an issue when I was with Virgin Media.

Due to the random nature of the occurrences, I don't know if restarting the ONT helps or not, and it's likely the issue might not occur when I'm on a call with customer support...

I had switched from Virgin because BT offered higher speeds at a lower price, but if it's at the cost of reliability, I might have to switch back until other FTTH providers come to my area...

Has anyone else experienced this or now what might be going on?

Re: Micro-interruptions of service

as a test to rule out your router you could connect the BT SH2 and see if the problem continues.  If you phone CS then they would ask you to connect the SH2 as they don't support other routers

Re: Micro-interruptions of service

Hello, I know it's not the router as I'm not experiencing the issue using my failover connection with another provider
