BT DNS Servers Dropping my Website

Go to solution

Hi

I have the BT Hub 6 and therefore have to use BT's DNS servers.

I have a website that I'm sure has suffered from spammy neighbours in the past couple of months (on the same IP block etc etc).

I'm not able to connect to my website  - the domain is simply not known. Yet I can get to it via a mobile network or VPN / Proxy. So it's not my BT Hub (although I did try turning off the firewall) and I reckon this narrows it down to BT's DNS servers.

How do I get my website re-listed?

Thanks in advance

Assuming your web site is not anything illegal if you post the address on this thread forum user will be able to try and access it to see if it is in the unlikely event being blocked by BT or some other reason that you can not access it.

Unfortunately I am away from home at present and I am not using a BT connection so I am unable to say if it is working or not with BT, it is OK on my mobile,  but I'm sure some of the other forum members will report back on this.

@silklink

Wouldn't work for me using Edge, so I switched to Opera. Still no joy so I activated Opera's free VPN and we're good to go. One of the technical experts will have to advise as I'm too old!

Thanks for checking. Yes I can connect with VPN. Also with mobile. As soon as I turn on WiFi on the phone in my home I can no longer access the site

Interesting that it has worked for 2 respondents in Edge. I personally hate Edge and anything to do with Microsoft and the Internet. However it makes you wonder where BT are
