Good day i am having trouble with my home hub 4 i want to use this as an access point but my issues is when i plug the Ethernet into my Main Router the gateway IP on Home hub changes to the gateway IP of Main Router any idea how to fix this issue
Not sure what you are trying to do, the only Gateway will be the main router, if you have connected the 2 routers LAN port to LAN port to use the hub4 as a WAP.
The gateway ip is the same address used to sign in on web interface bt default ip is 192.168.1.254 when i plug in Ethernet this changes to Huawei gateway ip and am no longer able to access bt router web interface
If you Google what you want to do there are plenty of guides out there. But first step is to connect directly to the HH4 & change it's IP address to one in the same range as your main router. You haven't said what that is but if it's another BT router it will have a gateway/admin address of 192.168.1.254. You need to change the HH4 to 192.168.1.x where x is any address outside the DHCP range of the main router. I think that's below 64 but check for yourself against what you have. It also needs to be memorable so maybe the other extreme of the IP addressing range, 192.168.1.1, so you can connect to the admin page of each router by using it's unique IP address.
Then turn off DHCP on the HH4 & change the SSID(s) & password(s)to match the main router. This should allow seamless roaming of devices without having to manually switch networks. How well that works in practice depends on the client's ability to release a weak connection in favour of a stronger one.
If you leave all the WiFi channel selection to automatic, they should play nicely with each other. I would prefer to use a WiFi analyser to look at what channels are in use by neighbours & manually select them all. You want different channel numbers for the two hubs, based on what's least congested. Ideally sticking to 1, 6 or 11 for the 2.4GHz band.
The connect the two together using their ethernet ports (not WAN) & all should be good.
This is quickly off the top of my head so as I said, Google & you will find other guides & probably YouTube videos too.
If you are trying to use a Hub 4 as a WAP, you need to change its IP address to a value outside the range of the DHCP server of the main router, turn off DHCP on the hub4 and connect the 2 devices LAN port to LAN port. The management page address of the Hub 4 will be the address you have just given it. The Gateway address as reported by your devices will be the IP address of the primary router not the hub4 address.
Have done all the above my main router gateway ip 192.168.8.1 i have tried 192.168.100.20 and 192.168.8.66 on bt hub as well as a few others but when i do ip config when connected to bt hub i get gateway ip 192.168.1.254 or the other ip address I mentioned before as soon as i connect Ethernet cable gateway changes to 192.168.8.1

That's correct, the gateway is provided by the main hub which is providing network addresses to the whole network via it's DHCP server. You don't have two gateways.
But if you're getting an IP address from the HH4 when connected to that only, it sounds like you haven't turned off it's DHCP server. Unless you have a static IP address set on the PC?

That's correct.
Set the hub to 192.168.8.66 and make sure you turn off DHCP on the hub.
As @rbz5416 and I both keep saying, the Gateway address is the address of the device issuing DHCP addresses and is connected to the internet. The Hub4 IS NOT the gateway.
