BT Hub USB

Hi, I have plugged a USB drive into my Ultrafast BT Hub and I have managed to map and access the drive with my Windows 10 PC. My problem is, I cannot access the drive on my Samsung Galaxy device. I put 192.168.1.254 into my network browser on my device but the browser asks for a Port number. Can anyone help me with this ? My Samsung device is connected to the same Hub via WiFi. Thanks.

Re: BT Hub USB

What app are you using?  AndSMB works fine for me on Pixel3. Make sure you have enabled SMB1 on whatever app you are using.

Re: BT Hub USB

Thanks fir reply. I use Samsung's stock "My Files" app. It allows you to connect to network storage (including SMB). When I try to add the USB storage connected to BT Hub using 192.168.1.254 it also asks for the "Port" number.

Re: BT Hub USB

Seems the problem is with Samsung's My Files app. I have downloaded another file manager app and I am able to connect to the USB drive. Thanks for your help.
