@CanardNoir I'm not aware of any solution that allows you to put your own router before the SH2.
Licquorice's idea looks interesting.
There is but it is extremely convuluted

I was thinking:-
VDSL2 Modem → My Router → Smart Hub 2
I could turn the Smart Hub 2 into a “Digital Voice adapter”:
• Wi‑Fi off
• DHCP off
• No routing
• No NAT
• No DNS
• Just a phone plugged into it
My own router would handle:• IPv6
• DNS
• DHCPv6‑PD
• Wi‑Fi
• IoT
• Everything else
Of course, this assumes the Smart Hub 2 only needs a working internet connection to register the phone service.
Your opinion would be valued.
Nope, doesn't work unless you employ the convoluted method I posted earlier.
The hub needs to be first router connected to line.
No, won't work, as I said before.
The only other alternative is to dump DV altogether and go with a third-party VoIP provider.
I have to ask, how important is the landline?
Very important I'm afraid.
There is almost no mobile signal in the area and I have medical equipment connected to the line.
