Hi,
Firstly, apologies, I'm no expert when it comes to Wi-Fi and broadband!
I would appreciate some advice and guidance. I have BT 500 Mbps broadband, with an average speed of just over that. My current set up is a BT Smart Hub 2 and 3 Whole Home discs (AC2600).
Depending on the location of those 2 discs I'm achieving speeds of between 100 and 210 Mbps. Is that good?
I'm thinking of upgrading to the BT Tri-band discs (AX3700). Before I decide to purchase a set would these discs improve the speeds I'm currently achieving or not? If they would ,what sort of Wi-Fi speeds could I then expect?
I would be grateful for any help anyone could offer.
Thank you
Out of interest, what are you doing that requires more than the speed that your present discs deliver?
Just the usual, streaming TV shows etc.
I just thought if I'm paying for 500Mbps I want to get the fastest Wi-Fi speed I can.
Plus our Sky Q box loses it connection on a regular basis and we get buffering at times when watching shows in UHD.
So, you want 500Mbps WiFi to stream a single channel of uhd content which requires about 50mbps at the very most.
