We want to move our BT WiFi Hub to the other side of the room, but for this we require longer cables. There are currently two cables from the two wall sockets into the back of the hub - one is a broadband cable coming from the BT Openreach wall socket and the other is a yellow Gig Ethenet cable. Can we buy longer cables from any reputable retailer, like Curry's, or do we need to get them from BT?

You can buy them from anywhere they are just standard cables. The broadband cable has RJ11 plugs, the Ethernet cable RJ45.
Don't bother with the high street retailers, get them from Amazon.

Re: Broadband and Gig Ethernet cables for BT Hub
As already stated get them from anywhere but make sure the spec is minimum Cat5E. No real need for Cat6 or 7 or whatever is the latest.
